The Rotary Clubs of Hervey Bay are looking for young people between the ages of 18-26 to take part in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards retreat to be held from 21-28 March. Young people are chosen for their leadership potential to attend an all expenses paid camp to discuss leadership skills and to learn those skills through practice.
RYLA aims to provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders and encourage leadership of youth by youth.
The RYLA retreat is held at Ozadventures near Susan River. All food and accommodation is provided by Rotary.
It is not a holiday. It is an adventure based leadership and life skills training program. It will be a challenge but we are sure that after the week of adventure, thrills, conflicts, and training many will acknowledge a life changing experience and make many new close friends while at the same time gaining skills that will better equip them in their employment, family and social circles.
