Welcome Fraser Coast – A Bit More Information

How Welcome Fraser Coast Is Delivered

The session is informal, fun, motivating and very informative. The facilitator is engaging and enthusiastic. Because everyone is having a good time the two hours pass very quickly.

Welcome Fraser Coast stresses the need for each member of staff to step up and take their place in your organisation’s cycle of service. Showing a can do attitude and acting as Ambassadors for the Region, your staff will ensure your customers want to come back and spend more money.

Why Welcome Fraser Coast Was Instituted

Welcome Fraser Coast promotes the concept that customer service is everyone’s responsibility. Because business makes a profit by attracting and servicing customers, happy customers spending more, more often means greater profitability.

If each individual member of staff projects a strong image and service culture – the business will succeed. When individual business is strong the overall economy is strong. In a strong
economy our citizens can expect to retire comfortably and their children will have more opportunity to stay in town for their jobs.

As well as improving image and customer service standards within individual businesses, “Welcome” customer service training stresses the concept of ‘talk up your region – build up your business’. It explains the benefits of the tourist dollar and seeks to impress upon participants the importance of becoming a customer service ambassador for their business, their town and their region.

    Topics Include

    • The customer is the most important person in the business
    • Increasing Profitability
    • The value of the tourist dollar
    • Improving my customer service – What’s in it for me?
    • Not just a sale but an experience
    • There are three P’s in Profit – Personnel, Presentation, Priority
    • Having a ‘can do’ attitude
    • Making a positive impression
    • Customer service is everyone’s responsibility
    • Helping my customers spend more money
    • Talk up the region – build up my business
    • Answers to the ten most commonly asked visitor questions
    • Causing my customers to rave about my business and my region
    • Creating jobs and local prosperity – who me?
  • Thank you to Member for Maryborough Chris Foley and Councillor Gerard O’Connell for your attendance to this Breakfast – your presence were truly appreciated.

Thank you to our friends at the Fraser Coast Chronicle for their coverage of the Fraser Coast Young Professionals – it is much appreciated.

The Port Residence Restaurant accommodated the growing FCYP numbers with style at the 2009 kick-off of FCYP Maryborough’s First breakfast and establishment.

The underlying theme: Success in a small city, with sponsor Jade Guilmartin of  ‘Wide Bay Prestige Properties’.

Jade Guilmartin is a young business owner with valuable messages for all FYCPs. Jade is physical proof that a successful business and fulfilment of a dream can start with as little as an idea in mind and heart. It takes creativity to change strategies when needed and perseverance to keep climbing over the obstacles. It also takes hard work and patience which do come with sacrifices. In the end, the view from up above all those obstacles is well worth the climb.  Jade is a true inspiration to us all – Thank you Jade.

The Inaugural Young Professionals Breakfast was a success with an underestimated number of professionals turning up to enjoy an early start to the day! Guest Speaker Jade Guilmartin gave some clear insight and great motivation to all those seeking some practical solutions to their personal success.

FCYP would like to thank ‘The Port Residence Restaurant’ for making this breakfast possible. We would also like to thank our guest speaker Jade Guilmartin for sharing her inspiring story with us. Thank you to all the FCYPs for your attendance and welcome to all first-time FCYPs. We hope you enjoyed the breakfast and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming FCYP events – there are plenty of new and exciting things we will be trying in 2009. Keep an eye on the website for more details.
